He works up great and rapidly, is a really simple fat lozenge shape and only involves small counting (bonus offer ha!).

Straight onto the crochet bee pattern!

Materials needed to make an amigurumi bee

  • Chunky yarn in bumblebee colours! Yellow, black and white – can found here
  • 10mm security eyes.
  • Stuffing.
  • 4.5 mm Crochet Hook (or whatever size matches your yarn, I always utilize a smaller hook than recommended for amigurumi projects as it keeps your stitches tighter).
  • Repeat pattern between the asterisks * … … * Pattern is operated in spirals, do NOT join at the end of each round.
  • Pattern keeps in mind/ explanations specific to each row (info inside bracket composed in italics).
  • Stitch count in []

Let’s get started! You will need to gather all your essential crochet tools. Feel free to start with any one of the 21 animals. You will see that once you have made one or two critters, all the others work from the same simple pattern shapes. We will be using worsted weight yarn and a size H crochet hook along with a few other basic supplies that you can easily find at your local craft store or order online. You can make multiple animals from one skein of yarn so pick up a few colors and get your hooks ready!
